Is this a non-alcoholic rum?

Technically, we're not allowed to call it non-alcoholic rum. But you, if 😉 To be classified as rum, it must contain a minimum alcoholic strength of 37.5 to 40.0%, which is not the case with ours. However, the Caribbean Spiced Spirit ISH Spirits 0.5% - 70 cl uses the same elements and spices as in traditional rum and employs similar distillation methods in addition to steam and extraction techniques that allow ISH to create a taste that closely resembles rum, fooling most people when mixed and enjoyed in polite company.

The unique ISH Spirits process

The full strength spirit undergoes a process called “Supercritical CO2 Extraction”, a technology in which carbon dioxide extracts alcohol at 73 bars and 30°C. Extraction is carried out at low temperatures to preserve the natural taste profile. The dealcoholized base is then enriched with vanilla from the Sava region of Madagascar, Indonesian nutmeg and cooked apples which together create the lush and complex flavor of a classic spiced spirit. Additionally, we have developed a unique distillate using the shells of chili pepper seeds to bring the satisfying heat we know to our spirits.

Based on a dealcoholized spirit, native to the Caribbean islands of Jamaica and Martinique, we strive to deliver the most authentic experience possible for the discerning drinker. ISH's Caribbean Spiced Spirit is not meant to be enjoyed neat, but rather to add spice to your cocktails, but without the alcohol. You can also use it with other spirits, allowing you to reduce the alcohol content of your cocktails.

The journey

What started as just an idea quickly became one of the largest and most awarded soft drinks brands in the world. Our team of product development, supply chain, sales and marketing experts is led by food and beverage industry veteran Peter Bruun as CEO and René Vind Ludwigs as Chairman of the Board.

We serve our NA beverages in 15 markets (and counting), in some of the world's finest restaurants and most progressive hotels, and while we've accomplished a lot, we continue to raise the bar for what's possible in the no-alcohol world.
